Suniel Shetty, son Ahan Shetty share their excitement for Disco Dancer: The Musical – Times of India

Suniel Shetty along with his son Ahan Shetty were seen arriving at the musical concert Disco Dancer: The Musical, which premiered in India on Friday evening. It aims to bring back the grandeur of the 1980s with iconic songs from Mithun Chakraborty’s Disco Dancer, unforgettable dialogues and more of late legendary music composer Bappi Lahiri.
While interacting with the media, Suniel shared his excitement to be a part of this magical journey. “The attempt is to relive the magic of the 80s music. New talents are getting a chance which is the best part of this show. It’s a dying form because singing, dancing and acting together is a tough job to do for anyone. But kids have done really well and I am grateful that I am a part of this journey,” Suniel told the reporters.

When asked about choosing Bappi Lahiri’s songs from Disco Dancer for the act, Suniel added, “Because this is an iconic film, probably where all songs are superhits and you can actually dance on it. And I am hoping that audience will also react in the same way the kids have performed on it. I think Ahan is also here because of the essence of the music.” He further added that Disco Dancer did some Rs 100 crore business in the 80s and even today, the magic is still there.

Ahan, who accompanied Suniel at the event, was asked about his choice of song to dance. To which, he replied, “I can’t say only one song because there are so many. Hopefully, we will be able to work with SaReGaMa soon and bring that music together. I am just excited to be here to watch the show.”
