‘Stree’, ’83’, ‘Family Man’ writer Sumit Arora penning Kartik Aaryan film, helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan – Exclusive – Times of India

Day before late night, reports started flying thick and fast that Kartik Aaryan has signed a film to be directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The female lead for the project is yet to be finalised. The Kartik-Kabir combo looks a bit unusual but then stranger things have happened in Bollywood. The interest is piqued and this has become an awaited film. Also, what was being said yesterday was that Kartik’s role is very demanding and will need him to undergo dramatic weight transformations.

Now what we have learnt is that this movie will go on floors only next year but the script is firmly ready. Nadiadwala, Kabir and Kartik- all three- are very happy with his output.

But the main news here is that we have got the name of the writer who is writing this film. It’s Sumit Arora who wrote the dialogues of ’83’, ‘Stree’ and ‘Family Man’. Sumit has also penned about 600 episodes of the TV show ‘Dill Mill Gayye’. Remember you read this FIRST and EXCLUSIVE on ETimes.

Meanwhile, Kartik is riding high on the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’; the film did well at the box-office. The Kabir Khan directed film will be Kartik’s second collaboration with Nadiadwala – the first being ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ which he is in midway of. Naturally, Nadiadwala is mighty impressed with Kartik’s work in ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’.

Kabir Khan has directed films like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Kabul Express’, ’83’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Tubelight’.
