Footy fans have taken to Twitter to fume at Channel 9 after its streaming service crashed during the series opener of State of Origin.
Some viewers were unable to watch Game 1 in Adelaide due to an issue with 9Now, the streaming platform for the broadcasting titan.
9Now confirmed that it was looking into an issue but fans were far from impressed as Queensland took on New South Wales in South Australia.
Responding to one fan that flagged the problem, they said: ‘We’re currently investigating this issue and will resolve ASAP.’
But fans weren’t won over by the broadcaster’s explanation and posted their fury online.

‘Interesting take on Origin from 9Now,’ one fan posted with a screenshot reading ‘Error 503’.
Another fan said: ‘Yeah sweet @9Now no one in the country wanted to watch the state of origin anyway’ alongside a facepalm emoji.
One fan said what everybody was thinking: ‘This sucks.’
‘When are they going to take the footy off nine? @9now app garbage,’ a fourth fan said.
‘@9Now please sort out your app,’ another fan posted. ‘Can’t log in, bad gateway. Timeout. Over and over. #stress.’
It remains unclear what caused the error, with 9Now confirming the issue had been fixed by the 30-minute mark of the contest at Adelaide Oval.
