Star Wars Prime Day Deals From a Galaxy Far, Far Away
This story is part of Amazon Prime Day, CNET’s guide to everything you need to know and how to find the best deals.
A long time ago, in a galaxy really close by, a man named George made a movie and changed millions of lives, mine included. Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises in the entire world, and I am sure you know at least one or two people who are fans too. This October Prime Day is a great time to pick up some Star Wars gifts for your friends and family at steep discounts.
We will update this article as the day wears on, but you can keep up to date with all the best deals over at our live blog, where we have a team scouring Amazon for the best deals.
Loungefly
My wife loves her Loungefly bags. She’s a big Disney fan, so most of hers are Disney-themed, but this one did catch her eye. The blue colors are especially nice, and the large-eyed Funko Pop style is right up her alley. I especially like the tiny people riding tiny Tauntauns. Super cute.
Citizen
Bring your love of Star Wars with you wherever you go with this classy timepiece from Citizen. The Eco-Drive is water-resistant to 100 meters and features a brown strap reminiscent of the jacket worn by Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. It’s a beautiful piece, one I would love to own myself.
Star Wars
While it is awesome to love a thing, it is even more awesome when your kids love it, too. Share the Star Wars joy with this warm fleece sweater with a cartoon Chewie on the front. It will make you and your child giggle, and that’s what’s important.
JVMUSaber
While these lightsabers won’t win many awards for their looks, they are great to build a Jedi/Sith cosplay around, especially as you can choose the color of them. This comes as two pieces, but you can use the connector that comes with them to create a double-ended saber instead.
Lego
Lego sets of the Star Wars realm can run into the hundreds of dollars, so it is always nice to see a set that is relatively well-priced. This is one of the simpler TIE Fighter sets out there, but for a young Lego fan, this would be a fun project.
Amazon Essentials
Now that we have the kids all dressed up in the correct Star Wars attire, it’s time to go for the grown-ups. This black-and-white hoodie has different Star Wars comic panels spread across it. From a distance, it wouldn’t look too nerdy, but up close you can let your geek banner fly while looking fly in the process.
Star Wars
Obi-Wan is one of Disney Plus’ best Star Wars shows, in no small part thanks to the addition of a young Princess Leia. The actress who played her was extraordinary, and her interactions with her companion droid — a little flying ladybug-looking thing — made everyone who watched it smile. Complete someone’s cosplay, or just give the gift of cuteness with this Lola figurine. It’s so darn cute, it makes me want to fly to Alderaan and say hi. Oh, wait…
