Sriram Raghavan spills the beans on Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Merry Christmas’; says ‘it is a love story’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Director Sriram Raghavan is all set to treat the audience to another gripping thriller, but this time around, it will be presented as a love story.
The director will bring together actor Vijay Sethupathi with Katrina Kaif for the first time. Much about the film that went on floors last year, was kept under wraps. However, in a new viral clip, the director had no qualms about sharing his excitement about the upcoming movie.

“I can now talk about my next film which is a love story,” he says in the viral video that has been doing the rounds on social media. He went on to state that ‘Merry Christmas‘ was not like his last film ‘Andhadhun’ which had the audience hooked.
The director went on to state that the movie was unlike anything he had made before adding that it begs the question of love and obsession. He also said that the film excited him because it was something he don’t think the audience had seen before.
Much like the poster suggests, fans can expect to see a little bloodshed, but this time, the director has kept it for the end of the film.

Opening up about his bi-lingual film, he said, “It’s because Vijay is in the movie, we thought of making a Tamil version also. It has got new actors also. Some actors are different. Vijay and Katrina are the same in both versions. There is someone played by Vinay Pathak in Hindi and Radhika Sarathkumar in Tamil.”
“It is the same film, but it has its differences,” he added.
The film is slated for a 2023 release.
