Spotify user? Know what has been CHANGED on your app

Now, Spotify users will be able to listen to music and check podcasts separately. Here’s how the Spotify app will get personalized.

If Spotify is your daily stop for music-listening, then know that the app is going to get more personalized and easier to explore. Spotify has been working on a new design for its Home page that includes feeds for both Music and Podcasts & Shows. The company says that app’s Home is like a go-to option to explore new recommendations and play the recent favourites. “And with an upcoming update to Home, users will get a gateway to great content they will love—from tried-and-true playlists to new artists and thought-provoking podcasts,” Spotify added.

It seems like Spotify is trying to bring everything under one roof — from music to books to podcasts.

The new update to Spotify is first rolling out to Android users this week. However, the company confirmed that it will soon be available to iPhone users too. Spotify says that these separate feeds for your music and your podcasts will help to easily scroll through the type of content that you are looking for at a moment. Also, this update will make the experience more personalized while improving the recommendations.

However, the new update to the music listening app seems more useful for the podcast listeners, as it will bring them closer to an actual podcast app. There will be a Podcast & Shows feed section which will allow listeners to head straight to new episodes of their favorite shows. This will also bring personalized podcast recommendations. Not just that, there will be descriptions with each episode. You can play your favourite episode or start playing without leaving the page.

Audiophiles will find quick access to suggestions based on their music taste under the Music Feed. What’s more, there will also be album and playlist recommendations. With buttons available on the app’s Home and it will be easy to share, like, and instantly play music.
