Sonam Kapoor to wear this special gown for King Charles III’s coronation concert – Times of India
According to reports, to take the spotlight amongst several global dignitaries and royalty Sonam Kapoor has decided to wear a gorgeous floor-length gown that features a band detail around the shoulders framing the corseted bodice. It extends into a full skirt lined with architectural godet pleats. The dress has been inspired by the 17th and 18th-century calico prints.
Sonam Kapoor’s close relationship with designer Anamika Khanna is known to all as she has often been seen in gorgeous outfits designed by Anamika. In fact, the designer had also designed the lehenga for Sonam’s wedding reception.
King Charles III’s coronation concert will see performances and appearances of celebrities from across the world. Besides Sonam Kapoor, Tom Cruise and The Pussycat Dolls are also expected to grace the concert. According to reports, Sonam who stays in London with husband Anand Ahuja and their son Vayu, will give a spoken word performance introducing the Commonwealth virtual choir. For the unversed, this will be her first appearance at an event for the royal family.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam is set to return to acting after a long gap with Shome Makhija’s ‘Blind’. This will be her first film since she gave birth to Vayu in August 2022. The film stars Sonam alongside Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey in key roles. ‘Blind’ is the official remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. The story follows a blind police officer in pursuit of a serial killer.
