Sonam Kapoor talks about embracing post-pregnancy body; she’s in no hurry to get back to sets or push herself hard because she’s ‘still breastfeeding’ – Times of India

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja became parents to a baby boy in August last year. They named in Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. Just after three months of Vayu’s birth, Sonam was looking so fit and won hearts again by being the fashionista that she is. However, the actress is in no hurry to resume shooting for movies. Here’s why!
The actress said in a recent interview that she doesn’t want to let anything hamper her self-confidence. If she’s shooting, she has to send her measurements in advance and she doesn’t wish to come back feeling that she doesn’t fit into any of these tiny clothes. It plays a huge havoc on one’s self confidence if one tries to fit into things that they would have fit into five or ten years ago.

Sonam further confessed that her body is not back to how it used to be and she isn’t even pushing herself because she’s breast-feeding and hopes to continue that for another year at least. Hence, a mother’s body needs food, rest and energy while doing that. That’s why Sonam isn’t on any crazy diet. She’s been excercising all through her pregnancy and that’s what she continues to do even now. The actress says she took care of herself during her pregnancy and continues to do that, but won’t check the scales!

While Sonam is not scared of her having some extra weight or ageing, sometimes she sees some videos on the internet which are quite unflattering. Sometimes she looks at those videos and wonders is she really looking like that? While she ain’t scared of anything, Sonam just doesn’t feel like herself seeing some videos.

On work front, Sonam will be seen next in ‘Blind’ which she had shot for before her pregnancy. The makers recently unveiled the first look of the film which sees her as a police officer. The film is directed by Shome Makhija.
