For cosmetic procedures, recommendation is to avoid. Not only because of limited data, but also the unpredictability with outcome given the hormonal changes occurring during pregnancy. Ingredients: X Avoid: Retinoids (topicals and oral), hydroquinone, arbutin (derivative of HQ) V Safe: Peptides, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, kojic acid, licorice, sunscreen, and self-tanning lotions (dihydroxyacetone) S Use with caution: salicylic acid, tranexamic acid, sulfur Procedures X Avoid: most cosmetic procedures including botox, fillers, lasers and sclerotherapy.
Safe: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Green tea extract, Kojic acid, Azelaic acid, Niacinamide, Aloe vera and AHAS.
Unsafe: Retinoids, Salycylic acid, Hydroquinone, phthalates (presentin cosmetics), Formaldehyde (preservative)C Questionable safety: Chemical Sunscreen, Benzoyl peroxide and Bleach products.

Hyperpigmentation during pregnancy
Considered safe; Sun protection, DE TO 208 Vitamin C (any percentage) azelaic acid ( any percentage), ARE ( niacinamide, AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids at low percentage).
