Sienna Miller has turned heads with the bold outfits she’s worn recently, but her latest look illustrates that sometimes, it pays to keep things simple. Having worn a zingy mustard-yellow Proenza Schouler dress and a floral Saint Laurent catsuit earlier this month, Miller toned it down for an evening out in London.
The actor dined with her Anatomy of A Scandal co-star Michelle Dockery at The Ivy wearing a flippy white mini dress beneath an oversized boyfriend blazer, with heeled lace-up boots. She styled her tousled blonde hair into a loose low bun as an informal finishing touch.
She wore her blazer buttoned up, cinching her waist and allowing the hemline to peep from underneath, but this versatile staple would look just as good unbuttoned with a pair of slouchy trousers.
Miller has also done look-at-me suiting before. At the Mothers2Mothers gala in December, she wore a feather-trim powder pink Gucci suit with a strappy halterneck bra underneath. In November, at Gucci’s Love Parade show, she modeled a disco ball blazer dress, made all the more dancefloor-ready with skyscraper platforms and sunglasses.
Last year, proving that excellent tailoring is for work and play, she arrived at London’s High Court in a three-piece suit by Bella Freud, which offers an aesthetic the brand describes as “Mayfair Spiv.”
