ETimes has learnt Sid will be paying an ode to his idol Amitabh Bachchan in the film. Sidharth Malhotra has been an Amitabh Bachchan fanboy since childhood. Time and again, he has confessed that he has always admired Big B and he is one of the reasons Sid in this profession. Bringing this love to reel life, Sidharth’s style in Mission Majnu which is set in the 70s is inspired by the megastar himself. Be it the long collard shirts or the bell bottom pants, Sidharth’s character -Tariq takes us back to that era, especially in the film’s first song – Rabba Janda.
Mission Majnu also stars Parmeet Sethi, Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, Zakir Hussain and Mir Sarwar and will release on January 20.
Sidharth was last seen in Thank God which released during Diwali. But netizens still can’t get enough of his performance in Shershah and chemistry with Kiara Advani in the film. Meanwhile, Rashmika is still known as the Pushpa girl and it would be interesting to see this fresh pair on-screen.
