Shriram Group is planning to introduce a super app for its financial products called ‘Shriram One’ during the first quarter of next fiscal, said top company officials.
“The modules are getting ready. We have different apps for different products. They are all getting integrated into one under our digitisation programme,” said D.V. Ravi, MD, Shriram Capital.
Currently, Shriram Group has multiple apps such as one for general insurance, life insurance, home finance, truck finance, investments and automall among others.
“With the merger of Shriram Transport with Shriram City Union Finance, financial services becomes a priority for us. We have a customer base of about 1.5 crore and we need to cater to them on a daily basis,” said Ajay Thomas John, chief digital officer, Shriram Capital.
The digitalisation work for the Shriram Group is undertaken by the company’s IT firm Novac. Right now, it does the complete IT requirements of Shriram group.
According to him, Shriram One will function as supermarket for all Shriram products, its partners and in addition provide payment services as well.
Asked whether they were a late entrant, Mr. Ravi said that the group entities were already having different apps and it was only waiting for integration. Besides, it had a good number of clienteles onboard.
