Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra passed away on Thursday morning. She was cremated at 11 am after which, several of their friends from the industry visited Aditya Chopra’s house to meet Aditya and Uday Chopra. Many celebs who were close to Yash and Pamela, paid heartfelt condolences to her. Shah Rukh Khan with son Aryan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal among many others were spotted at Chopra’s house.

Not many are aware, but Pamela was also Yash Chopra’s muse and filled with ideas and support for all his movies. She would also be present on many of his sets, which is why she had a great rapport with most people in the industry. Remembering her, Shatrughan Sinha told ETimes, “She was a lady of substance. Many people say that Yash Chopra, his empire, their kids, she was the force and backbone behind it. She was very hospitable, charming, gracious and took care of everyone. It always seemed like Yash ji left everything to her. She took care of the entire Yash Chopra Films, the children’s productions as well. She was a very creative and constructive lady.”

Sinha had worked with Yash Chopra on ‘Kaala Patthar’. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor, Rakhee, Parveen Babi, Neetu Singh among others.
Pamela and Yash had got married in 1970. They had met each other first when Pamela was staying at her cousin Simi Garewal’s house and went to attend a wedding sangeet with her. Garewal also arrived today at Aditya Chopra’s house to pay her last respects. Pamela Chopra passed away at the age of 74.
