Shannon Sharpe jokes Skip Bayless could not rush for one yard in the NFL

Shannon Sharpe was left in no doubt that co-host Skip Bayless wouldn’t get a single yard in the NFL… because the players just wouldn’t let him.

The three-time Super Bowl winner joined the Kelce brothers on their popular New Heights podcast this week and was asked a big question.

Travis began: ‘This is the you don’t have to answer it, but we gotta ask.

‘First one is previously on this show we asked: ‘Could an average person rush for one yard in the NFL?”

‘So we’re asking you right here, right now, could Skip Bayless get a single yard in the National Football League?

Sharpe immediately replied: ‘No.’

Travis and Jason Kelce burst out laughing.

Sharpe continued: ‘And let me tell you, I’m not saying because he’s average, ain’t no way they gonna let him get a yard.’

The brothers can’t help but fall about laughing again.

Sharpe added: ‘Ain’t no way they gonna go out of their way and I’m not so sure the offensive line is going to block for him to get that yard.

‘That’s what’s going to happen with that one.’ 

Sharpe also explained why Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who shone in their play-in tournament win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, wouldn’t have what it takes to excel at tight end in the NFL.

Jason Kelce asked: ‘So you don’t think LeBron could go out there and catch a couple touchdowns? 

Sharpe responded: Hell no! He don’t know how to get off press. 

‘They’re gonna press him. You’d be foolish not to press him. Because he’s gonna jump over top of you and catch it.’
