‘Shamshera’ records strong advance booking, looking to beat ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ – Times of India

Ticket sales may fall a bit behind ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, but there are several single screens who don’t have advance booking. Hence, the overall day one collection of ‘Shamshera’ may beat that of Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. The advance booking for ‘Shamshera’ is expected to increase in the coming days and Thursday may add a strong number to the total.

‘Shamshera’ will feature Ranbir Kapoor in a double role. Speaking about the same, the actor had shared, “When the film was narrated to me, it wasn’t really offered to me as a double role. But when I heard the story, my immediate response to Aditya Chopra and Karan Malhotra was that let me play the father also. It is such a great role, it is such an interesting, juicy part for an actor to play. Then, I really had to convince Adi and Karan. I think after that Karan did a couple of look tests and that’s when he got convinced also.” Apart from Ranbir, this film also features Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles.
