Shahid Kapoor speaks about ‘Farzi’ and ‘The Family Man’ crossover; says he wants to do a light-hearted film – Times of India

Shahid Kapoor who was last seen web series ‘Farzi’ by Raj and DK, has been getting a lot of accolades for his performance. The director duo are also popular for ‘The Family Man’ franchise and ‘Farzi’ had an opening end and the entire series showed easter eggs which has a connection with ‘The Family Man’. Fans wondered if there will be a cross-over of these two worlds. In an interview, Shahid has reacted to that possibility.
Shahid opened up on the possibility of ‘Farzi 2’ in an interview with Pinkvilla and said that the end to season one of ‘Farzi’ was magical and they will have to live up to that because it doesn’t happen every time. The makers had revealed at the trailer launch event that the best thing which happened to ‘Farzi’ is that it was made into a web-series and not a movie because there’s so much left to be explored in this world. Shahid had said that if people like season 1, they will make many more seasons of the show hopefully!

The actor also opened up on the cross-over with ‘The Family Man’. He said that it’s Raj and DK’s universe so everything is possible but it’s about what’s right. But, something shouldn’t be done just for the heck of it, it should be natural and must blend well.
Shahid is currently shooting for a romantic comedy with Kriti Sanon produced by Dinesh Vijan. The actor said that it’s a very light-hearted film. He will be seen next in ‘Bloody Daddy’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
