Shahid Kapoor says ‘Jab We Met’ happens once in two decades; wishes to reunite with director Imtiaz Ali for something fun and exciting – Times of India
In an interview with a news portal, Shahid said that many people ask him why he doesn’t do a film like that anymore. According to him, ‘Jab We Met’ happens once in two decades and it’s not like an everyday film. Most of the films in this genre are bad, so one needs to pick up a decent script. Shahid even went on to reveal that director Imtiaz Ali and he were also chatting to find something in this space again. He wishes to do something fun and exciting, the actor told Pinkvilla.
The film was re-released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day last month. The actor was also seen joining fans at a Mumbai movie theatre when the dance song ‘Mauja Mauja’ played as the film ended. Fans were seen taking videos and selfies with the actor.
Shahid shared a video on his Instagram where he is seen interacting with the moviegoers. He captioned the post, ‘Jab We Met 16 years later.’ The actor shared that he had been speaking with Imtiaz about working on another romantic film.
On the work front, he made his OTT debut recently with Raj & DK’s ‘Farzi’. Next, he will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bloody Daddy’. Apart from this, he is also a part of Anees Bazmee’s comedy film.
