Shah Rukh Khan to Ranbir Kapoor: Superstar cameos in 2022 that brought the house down – Times of India
Ajay Devgn and SS Rajamouli were planning to come together for the last ten years. It finally happened in RRR. And Devgn’s cameo (for which he got paid a whopping amount) was a scene stealer. He played Ram Charan’s revolutionary father with blazing guns and rousing dialogues. A highlight in the blockbuster.
Shah Rukh Khan in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect:
Actor-director R Madhavan needed a superstar to play the television journalist who interviews the scientist Nambi Narayanan. Shah Rukh, in his umpteenth friendly appearance, happily climbed on board and gave a heartfelt performance. He refused to discuss money.
Ajay Devgn in Gangubai Kathiawadi:
Playing Rahim Lala, a dreaded gangster who helps Gangubai in her hour of need, Devgn had most of his scenes with Alia Bhatt. For the first time in her career she was intimidated by a co-star. Understandable.
Ranbir Kapoor in Govinda Naam Mera:
In the Shashank Khaitan directorial, Ranbir Kapoor had a terrific cameo as himself on a film set. He catches the two struggling choreographers, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani fibbing about their dance steps (which were actually Ganesh Acharya’s) but sportingly promises them a break in his next.
Akshay Kumar in An Action Hero:
Akshay Kumar appeared as himself in an airborne sequence when the film’s hero Ayushmann Khurrana takes flight after committing a crime. Khurrana tries to share his agony with his colleague on flight. But Akshay Kumar, unwittingly, comes across as someone who doesn’t care a damn. His most honest performance to date.
