Shah Rukh Khan skips Karan Johar’s star-studded ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ premiere; Gauri Khan spotted with mom | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Bollywood director Karan Johar on Tuesday, hosted a star-studded premiere of his film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and called over his closest friends for the special preview.

Everyone from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, Gauri Khan and many others came out in large numbers for the screening. However, one person missing from the starry lineup was KJo’s BFF, Shah Rukh Khan.
While SRK has been Karan’s biggest hypeman and even helped promote the film on his handle, many were surprised to see that the superstar skipped the grand premiere. Making up for his absence was wife Gauri Khan who was spotted attending the red carpet event with her mother.

Gauri and her mom put on their best smiles as they posed together for the shutterbugs. Interestingly, not only was SRK MIA but so were his kids Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan.
Rumours were rife that the superstar was set to make a special appearance in the film. However, KJo rubbished the claim saying that SRK was not in the movie, but ‘his blessings are there with us’.
Starring Ranveer and Alia in lead roles, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. After several delays in production, the film will hit theatres on July 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is currently busy working on director Atlee’s action flick Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s drama Dunki.
