Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’ to be one of Bollywood’s costliest films with Rs 300 Crore budget- Report – Times of India
According to the latest reports, the Siddharth Anand directorial is already rumoured to be one of the most expensive films in Bollywood with a budget set at an estimated Rs 300 crore. This figure, however, does not include the actors’ fees, states Bollywood Hungama. If there is any truth to these reports, the cost of the film will exceed both ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Tiger 3’.
Both Salman and Shah Rukh have reportedly opted for a profit share, which means the superstars will have a lot to gain if the film can shoot past the 1000 crore mark once again.
The report further adds that the huge budget is ‘justified’ considering that ‘Pathaan’ sailed past the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office. It earned more revenue from the sale of television and digital rights post its 50-day run in theatres.
The film will reportedly bring together SRK and Salman in a ‘Captain America: Civil War’ kind of setting. To make sure that the movie lives up to the hype, director Siddharth Anand will have to scale up the action and VFX, which is expected to only increase the cost.
‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ is currently slated for its release in 2025. Before that, fans can expect to see SRK and Salman share the screen in the upcoming ‘Tiger 3’.
