Seton Hall vs. Providence prediction and odds for Saturday, March 4 (Bet UNDER in Big East matchup)
Providence suffered its first loss at home earlier this week to Xavier, but will look to cap off another successful year in the Big East with a win against Seton Hall.
Seton Hall is likely going to miss the NCAA Tournament if it doesn’t go on a run in the Big East Tournament next week, and it will look to build some momentum to do just that against an elite conference foe.
Here are the odds for this Big East regular season finale:

Seton Hall vs. Providence prediction and pick
First year head coach Shaheen Holloway made his impact last March with St. Peter’s on the defensive end. We have seen the impact on his new team, the one he played at, immediately as Seton Hall is top 25 in adjusted defensive efficiency.
However, the offense has floundered, bottom half of the country in adjusted offensive efficiency.
It will be strength on strength Saturday when Seton Hall’s defense faces Providence top 15 offense. However, the team is starting to slow up during the dog days of conference play. The team is over-leveraged on three-point shooting (42% over their last eight games) to offset their two-point woes (below 45% in that same time span).
This is a Seton Hall defense that is holding teams below an effective field goal percentage of 50%, the third best mark in Big East play and is turning teams over at the second highest rate.
Both teams are right around the national average in terms of pace, so I don’t expect a track meet, and I don’t expect the Friars unsustainable three-point shooting to keep up against an elite defense. I’ll play the under in Saturday’s Big East matchup.
PICK: UNDER 139.5
