Selfiee box office collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi’s film sees a slight growth – Times of India
The film saw a jump of around 40-45% and collected about Rs 3.75 crore on its second day, reports Box Office India. This takes the two day collection of the film to Rs 6.25 crore nett. The film is expected to end the first weekend with little over Rs 10 crore nett, the report further stated.
The film posted the lowest opening day numbers for an Akshay Kumar film since 2009. Akshay has seen a series of flops since the pandemic including Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchhan Paandey, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu.
When asked his views about his consecutive four flop films in a row, Akshay said to Aaj Tak that this is not happening with him for the first time. There was a time in his career when he had 16 consecutive flops. There was another time when he had eight films in a row that tanked. He said that when your films flop in a row, it is an alarm for you to change. “Mai koshish kar raha hun, wahi kar sakta hoon (I am trying to change, that is all I can do). Do not blame the audience or anyone else. It is my fault, 100%,” he was quoted saying.
The two day collections of Selfiee are as follows.
Friday – 2,60,00,000 apprx
Saturday – 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL – 6,35,00,000 apprx
