Section 144 imposed in Rajasthan; uncertainty looms over JEE Main
Communal tensions gripped several districts of Rajasthan after two men beheaded a tailor in Udaipur allegedly over a social media post. As per media reports, the victim had written and shared a post on social media in support of the now-suspended BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma, for her comments on the Prophet.
Rajasthan is one of the major hubs for the preparation of competitive exams. Students from all over the country move to Kota and Jaipur to prepare for the examinations such as: JEE, NEET, UPSC, etc. However, whether the exam is being conducted on time across the state, remains uncertain at this point of time.
The restrictions imposed across the state have caused panic among students. According to local reports, students should not face much trouble if they are appearing for the exam in Jaipur and Kota districts, where the law and order situation is maintained. However, those appearing for the exams in Udaipur and nearby districts may face logistical and transportation challenges.
