Scottish dolphins save man stranded for 12-hours off Irish coast
A pod of Scottish dolphins came to the aid a man after he became stranded off the Irish coast.
Ruairi McSorley was rescued by the RNLI after a 12 hour ordeal near County Kerry who found him a surrounded by a pod of dolphins.
The man known as ‘frostbit boy’ shot to fame when his interview on a snowy morning went viral.
Ruairi was reported as missing after a member of the public found his clothes on a beach at 8am on Sunday.
Two RNLI crews and a coastguard helicopter spotted his head 4km out at sea next to his new pals.
He was taken to hospital following the incident but has since been discharged.
The Fenit 3 have been identified, they belong to the Moray Firth population.

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group said the pod identified belong to the Moray Firth population and had visited the area before.
Gerard O’Donnell, Fenit RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “Had it not been for the professionalism of the RNLI crew on Fenit Lifeboat on that day, we would have had a fatality no question about it.”
