Veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away at 66 following a heart attack in the wee hours of Thursday. His close friend Anupam Kher was the first one to share the sad news on social media. As Bollywood celebs started sending their condolence messages over the demise of veteran actor, Satish’s daughter Vanshika bid an emotional goodbye to her father on Instagram. Her post left fans heartbroken.
After the actor’s death, the 10-year-old took to Instagram to share an adorable picture where the father-daughter duo were seen giving each other a warm hug. Vanshika was seen holding her father tightly as they both smiled ear to ear. In the caption, Vanshika dropped nothing but a heart emoji.

Soon, fans poured in emotional support for Vanshika and asked her to stay strong. “Take care little one of urself and ur mom # life is totally unpredictable,” one Instagram user commented. Another user wrote, “Vanshika stay strong beta, papa will always be there with you. God bless you.”

Satish died while he was on his way to a Gurugram hospital in the early hours of Thursday. He was at his friend’s home in Delhi to celebrate Holi. He told his driver to take him to the hospital after he felt uneasy. He suffered a heart attack around 1 am on the way.

His body was flown to Mumbai following a post-mortem at Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and taken to his residence in Mumbai’s Versova locality at around 6.30 pm. Satish’s industry colleagues including David Dhawan, Subhash Ghai, Javed Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty among others paid their last respects.

The last rites were held at the Versova crematorium around 8.30 pm in the presence of his family members and close friends. The actor is survived by his wife Shashi Kaushik and daughter Vanshika.
