Satish Kaushik passed away on March 8 after suffering from a heart attack. The actor-director was 66. In an unpublished interview of his to a news portal, Kaushik had mentioned how a career in films required one to be fit and active.
Satish said that he has put out some videos of him working out on social media. He has a responsibility to become fit. He revealed that the video received over a million views and so many people liked and commented on it. That was a big motivation, he told Hindustan Times.

Elaborating further, Kaushik added that he has to act, direct and run his business so becoming fitter was very important to him. The filmmaker revealed that he has already lost eight kilos in three weeks and he has to shed more. He added that he has done it earlier as well.

He also went on to add that he felt the need to reinvent with time. According to him, he does this to keep up with today’s generation and to repackage himself accordingly.

He went on to work in a number of films in long and storied career such as Mr India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural and many others. He has directed films such as Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam, among others.
