Sara Ali Khan: I was in Kedarnath when I got to know ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ was releasing in theatres | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
The film released in cinemas last Friday, made a splash at the box office and drew in audiences in large numbers. Expressing her excitement on seeing herself on the big screen again, Sara said, “I felt like it was my debut again because after so many years, to see myself on the big screen, it felt like a dream come true.”
The actress, who released several films on OTT over the past years, expressed her woes about ever seeing her films release in theatres again. “Many times during the pandemic and after the pandemic, I wondered if that time would come again when I would see myself on the big screen,” she said and added, “I remember ‘Introducing Sara Ali Khan’ flashing on the screen, but I wondered if ‘Starring Sara Ali Khan’ would ever happen again.”
Recalling the time she got the call about ‘ZHZB’ getting a big screen release, she said, “I believe in signs and positivity. It is so strange that my debut film was Kedarnath and I was at Kedarnath when I got a phone call that this film would premiere on the big screen. I’m so thankful and grateful to Laxman Utekar for giving me this. Honestly, it feels like a debut again because it has already been almost half a decade.”
The actress expressed her gratitude to the audience for appreciating her performance and this one-of-a-kind love story. She said, “Thank you to the media and audiences for accepting what we have given you.”
On Sunday, the actress went to a cinema hall to watch the film with her brother Ibrahim and mother Amrita Singh. After the screening, she said in a statement to the media, “I’m so thankful that my brother and mother have laughed so hard watching this film, cried in the climax and are proud of me and the film. Just onwards and upwards from here.”
In a heartfelt message of love to her director, she said, “Thank you, Laxman Sir, for giving me Saumya and making me understand where she comes from. Thank you for fighting with me to wear bindis, because you are right, I look better when I wear the bindi.”
Sara concluded thanking her hunky co-star Vicky for being the best partner during the shoot. “Thank you, Vicky for calming Sara down. You have been the most superb partner in this journey. It has been outstanding to be with you and work with you. I don’t want to talk about how talented you are, because everyone knows that. You are so humble, so gracious and so giving. From my coffee to acting, we have been sharing so much, which I think is great, so thank you so much.”
Set in the small town of Indore, the storyline of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke follows two college lovers, Kapil and Saumya who are madly in love with each other.
In the coming months, Sara will be seen in Homi Adajania‘s ‘Murder Mubarak’, Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro Inn… Dino’ and ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.
