Sanya Malhotra reveals she stole sarees from the sets of ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’ – Times of India

In the film, Sanya was seen playing the role of a South Indian woman. She was seen wearing cotton and silk sarees. Recently, in an interview, the actress admitted that she loved wearing sarees.

During Rajeev Masand’s Actors’ Roundtable 2021, Sanya confessed that she stole sarees from the set as she loved getting ready as Meenakshi. She further revealed that she wore one of them for her friend’s wedding also. Speaking about the film, she said that she was really happy to be back on set as they started shooting for it after the first lockdown.

The film was written and directed by Vivek Soni.

Meanwhile, Sanya is all set to be seen in ‘Sam Bahadur’ with Vicky Kaushal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. She shared her excitement in a statement and said, “Behind every great man is a woman and Silloo Manekshaw was that support and strength to Sam Bahadur. I’m honoured to essay this role and bring to light her integral part and influence in this war hero’s life. I’m also extremely thankful to Meghna Gulzar and really looking forward to this exciting journey with her.”
