After collaborating for projects like ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan were to reunite for ‘Inshallah’. However, the film got shelved for reasons best known to them.

In a recent video interview with a news portal, the filmmaker opened up about the possibility of him working with the ‘Dabangg’ star again. Spilling some beans on the same, Bhansali said that Salman is a dear friend and he wanted to work with the superstar after his ‘Padmaavat’.

Elaborating further, the filmmaker added that he had put his best foot forward to make it happen. However, things didn’t turn out to be like he wanted. According to him, we all change as people and Salman has changed too. He also added that in Salman’s mind, he has changed too.

Bhansali concluded by saying that he has the utmost respect for the superstar. However, the ball is in his court now to decide if he wants to work with him.

‘Inshallah’ was supposed to bring together Salman and Alia Bhatt for the first time. When the film got shelved, Bhansali went ahead with another project, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ with Alia.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman will next be seen in Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Tiger 3’. The film will also star Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. Apart from this, he also has ‘Kick 2’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ co-starring Pooja Hegde.
