samsung: Samsung Galaxy S22 will not come with an Olympus branded camera: Report – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samsung recently launched its foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The company is now busy preparing for the launch of its next generation Galaxy S series smartphones. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones early next year.
Since, the company will not be launching a new Galaxy Note series smartphone, the Galaxy S22 launch will be the next big launch of the company. A recent online report revealed that Samsung is thinking of including a massive 200MP main camera in the upcoming Galaxy S22 series. The report also revealed that Samsung will partner with Olympus for the same. To recall, Olympus is a Japanese manufacturer of cameras and optical technology.
However, now it appears that it will not happen. As reported by Android Authority, Olympus has denied any collaboration with Samsung. In a statement given to Android Authority, the marketing official of Olympus said, “The only official statement I can give you from our side regarding this is that from our point of view there is nothing to talk about or to announce.”
It is a rather ambiguous statement as it does not outright deny the partnership. But for now it appears that both the companies are not working together on the Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 smartphone series in January next year. The report also adds that the Samsung Galaxy S22 will also come with S Pen support. It is also said that Galaxy S22 will be the first smartphone of the company to come with the Samsung/AMD GPU.
Samsung is said to bring a 6-inch Galaxy S22, 6.55-inch Galaxy S22+ and 6.81-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone. The display on the Samsung Galaxy S22 models is said to sport 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to come with dynamic refresh rate alteration. This feature will reportedly boost the battery life of the big-screen smartphone.
