Samsung reportedly starts firmware development for Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4 – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Samsung is said to be working on its next-generation foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing that the company has started developing firmware for the two smartphones. For those unaware, firmware is a set of instructions that define the basic level of functions in a device.
As reported by Sammobile, Samsung has started the firmware development for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. F936NKSU0AVF2 is the firmware version of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and F721NKSU0AVF2 is the firmware version of Galaxy Z Flip 4. Both the smartphones are expected to launch in August this year.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to sport a 6.7-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate and will also sport a punch hole in the center for the 10MP selfie camera. The outer 2.1-inch AMOLED screen is likely to be bigger than Flip 3’s 1.9-inch and houses a dual-camera setup that will include — a 12MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The upcoming Samsung foldable might come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and two storage options — 128GB and 256GB. The new report claims that the foldable device is likely to pack a 3700mAh battery unit that is expected to support 25W wired and 10W wireless charging. Apart from that, the smartphone also might run on One UI 4 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 expected specifications
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to come in two storage options — 256GB and 512GB.
The foldable smartphone from Samsung is tipped to feature a 7.6-inch QXGA AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 6.2-inch HD+ cover display. The smartphone is said to run Android 12 operating system.
