Samsung may cancel this mid-range phone series – Times of India
According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung may shelve the Galaxy A74 smartphone next year. Rumoured design and specs of Samsung’s Galaxy A series phones are usually tipped online a few months before their announcement (commonly towards the end of the year). This has been true for other A-series devices like the Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 5G, and Galaxy A54. However, that has not been the case with the Galaxy A74 as there is no information about the smartphone available yet. The absence of data about the A74 model is raising concerns about the device’s existence.
Why Samsung may be planning to cancel the Galaxy A74 device
As per the report, the company might be planning to “simplify” its smartphone lineup. This decision can save both users and Samsung’s software development teams from confusion. If these rumours are to be true, the Galaxy A54 will become the company’s most expensive mid-range device. This year’s vanilla Galaxy S22 model may help fill the gap left by the Galaxy A74 and the Galaxy S22 FE after its price drops post the launch of the Galaxy S23 series.
