Samsung has silently launched a new variant of the Galaxy A12 smartphone in India. The smartphone was originally launched in February in India and came powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The new variant of the Galaxy A12 comes powered by the company’s own Exynos mobile processor.

The base variant of the new Galaxy A12 that offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage costs Rs 13,999, whereas the second storage model that costs Rs 16,499 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Running on Android 11 with One UI Core, the new Galaxy A12 smartphone offers a 6.5-inch HD+ PLS TFT display of 720x1600p resolution with 20:9 aspect ratio.
It comes powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 SoC, with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset offers support for a microSD card up to 1TB.
For imaging duties, the handset packs a quad rear camera setup, which includes 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone packs an 8MP sensor.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the new Galaxy A12 offers 15W fast charging. It offers dual SIM support and in terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
