Actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were recently spotted together in Mumbai. As the paparazzi surrounded them, asking her for pictures, Varun told them not to scare her and then walked her outside. The duo was seen exiting a building in Andheri with director Raj Nidimoru. Samantha wore a grey and dark blue jacket with black pants. Varun sported an orange T-shirt with ripped denims. In a video shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram, as they were about to step out of the building the paparazzi started calling Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Varun Dhawan told them, “Darao mat, kyun dara rahe ho isko (Do not scare her. Why are you scaring her)?” Samantha was seen smiling as she heard Varun.

The duo then walked out of the building with Varun escorting Samantha carefully. He had his hands around her, trying to shield her from others. Varun also told people to step away as Samantha walked towards her car. She was heard saying, “Thank you.”

Reacting to the video, several fans praised Varun. A person said, “Love the way he just kept his arms around to protect..but didn’t touch her… he’s very good.” “The supportive costar anyone can get,” commented another fan. “He always protects his co-star so well,” said another person. “Varun is sooo humble man. Love you Sam,” said an Instagram user.

A few fans also asked if they were working on a project together. “Aren’t they doing a series together,” asked a person. “Can’t wait to see both of them in citadel,” wrote a fan. Last year, a few reports said that Varun and Samantha were working with Raj and DK for the Indian branch of upcoming Amazon Prime series, Citadel.

Samantha recently completed 12 years in the film industry. The actor made her debut in cinema with the Tamil film Ye Maaya Chesave, opposite Naga Chaitanya, following which she appeared in Telugu films Atharintiki Daaredi, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Manam, Aa aa, Oh Baby, Majili, and others. Her popular Tamil titles include Theri and Mersal.

Samantha was last seen in a special dance number for the film, Pushpa: The Rise. She is awaiting the release of her next film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaathal with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. It is slated for a theatrical release on April 28, 2022. Recently, she shared a first-look featuring herself from the mythological film, Shakuntalam.

She made her foray into the digital space with Prime Video’s critically-acclaimed series The Family Man second season, starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead.

Varun was last seen in the 2020 film Coolie No. 1, in which he played the role of Raju Coolie. He also has Bhediya, directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, in the pipeline. The film also stars Kriti Sanon and is slated to release on November 25, 2022.

Apart from Bhediya, Varun also has Jug Jug Jeeyo in the pipeline. Apart from Varun, the film will star actors Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles alongside Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul. The film is slated to release on June 24, 2022. The comedy-drama film is directed by Raj Mehta and is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta.
