Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Kushi’ will have 5 songs – Exclusive! – Times of India
Hesham Abdul Wahab, who is now in news for ‘Hridayam’ and ‘Brahmāstra’, travelled to Kashmir with the Shiva Nirvana, Samantha, Vijay Deverakonda, and the entire crew of ‘Kushi’, to find inspiration for his composition. In Hesham’s words, “When director Shiva Nirvana initially told me to come to Kashmir for the composing sessions, I wondered how we would be able to pull this off. But the moment I reached here, I understood the beauty of this breathtaking place and how the culture and the landscape here could influence my work. Imagine sitting in the backdrop of these misty mountains and making music!”
Traveling to the heavenly landscape and watching the actors perform in front of his eyes, definitely gave Hesham the right inspiration he needed, and the music poured into his heart. Hesham Abdul Wahab who has grabbed the attention of music lovers across the nation for his soulful compositions for ‘Hridayam’ tells us that he will be delivering something ‘beyond that’ for the upcoming project. “‘Kushi’ has 5 songs, and I could only say that it will be something beyond ‘Hridayam’. The Samantha-Vijay Deverakonda starrer is humungous in several aspects. There are around 50 musicians involved in the process, of which about 25-30 are working closely with me. In ‘Hridayam’ the number was around 10, so the magnitude here is definitely high. Being a romantic drama ‘Kushi’ revolves around the two characters, and I haven’t done something like this before. I want my music to speak, and all I could say now is, this is something completely different from what I have done so far,” Hesham Abdul Wahab said.
Billed as a festival release ‘Kushi’ is slated for December 23, and the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
