Salman Khan’s security upgraded, but there’s no stress on the sets of Bigg Boss or his film – Exclusive – Times of India

The security for Salman Khan was upgraded to Y plus about four days ago. This was done by the Maharashtra state government citing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is believed to be involved the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala as well.

The new security profile entails four armed guards in different shifts protecting Salman at all times. The ‘Dabangg’ actor will now receive regular protection from the Mumbai police. Despite these heightened security measures, the mood on the set and around Salman continues to remain unchanged.

A source from the set told ETimes, “The security has been upgraded but there is there nothing stressful. The drill on the set is the same as it is used to be.” Sources have also revealed that police from Punjab, Delhi and Maharashtra had discovered that gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar had planned fatal attacks on Salman in Mumbai in 2017 and 2018.

Earlier on, when threat letters were discovered near Salman’s home in Bandra, the government and Mumbai police had sprung into action. Despite the major security concerns though, Salman continued working on his films and TV show without much ado. Amid rising concerns, Salman also managed to have a quite holiday in Dubai recently.
