Salman Khan recalls working with Bhumika Chawla in Tere Naam: ‘She must have felt ki zyada bol diya toh peeche pad jaayega maarne ke liye’ – Times of India

Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla became one of the most popular on-screen jodis in Bollywood after they starred in their 2003 blockbuster Tere Naam. Two decades later, the duo have reunited for their upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. At the trailer launch, Salman and Bhumika were seen sharing some hilarious anecdotes from the sets of Tere Naam.
Bhumika said that she loves how Salman reacts to everything while sharing her experience of working with the superstar. “It seems like a different lifetime. We both then were young (laughs)! You know, life happens and we all grow up. We all change,” she added.

She then narrated an incident from the audio launch of Tere Naam where she had said that she was very happy to work with Salman bhai. “He was shocked and was like, ‘Yeh kya ho raha hai?’. Aaj main aapko Salman bhai nahin bolungi,” she added.
To this, Salman replied, “Aisa kya badal gaya?” which left the audience burst into laughter. Bhumika then added on a serious note that they both have matured and she has seen a lot of changes in him. She also expressed her happiness of working with him again in their upcoming film.

Then, Salman went on to share how he and Bhumika used to communicate on the sets of Tere Naam. “We shared a great relationship during the shoot of Tere Naam. It was a very serious film but on the sets, we had so much fun. Bhumika and I would only say, ‘Hi’, ‘How is it going’, ‘You good?’, ‘Yes’, ‘Lunch?’, ‘No sir’, ‘Bye’, ‘Take care’ and ‘Ok’. Next day, this cycle will be repeated,” he said.

He further added, “So these were the only words we had exchanged throughout Tere Naam. Even on the sets of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, it was the same. Nothing has changed. I think she was scared that I am like my Tere Naam character. She must have felt ki zyada bol diya toh peeche pad jaayega maarne ke liye.”

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Vijender Singh, Vinali Bhatnagar, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and Raghav Juyal, is all set to hit the theatres on April 21.
