Salman Khan made a special appearance at the launch of his friend Mahesh Manjrekar’s next film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ starring Akshay Kumar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The actor was thronged by fans at the event and heavy security was seen guarding Salman Khan. Recently it was reported that Salman Khan’s security has been upgraded by the Maharashtra government to Y+, owning to the death threats he has got from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. All through the event, Salman Khan was seen closely interacting with Mahesh Manjrekar.

‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ marks Akshay Kumar’s debut in Marathi films. Speaking about portraying an iconic historical character, Akshay had said, “It’s a dream come true role for me. I think to portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the big screen is a very huge responsibility. I was taken aback when Raj sir asked me to portray this role. I feel so good to be playing this part and it’s going to be a dream come true role for me. Also, I will be working for the first time with Director Mahesh Manjrekar, and it is going to be an experience.”

Apart from Akshay, the film will also feature Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Hardik Joshi, Satya, Nawab Khan, and Praveen Tarde. ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat’ is all set to hit the screens during Diwali 2023 and will be released in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
