Rumour: Will Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ release a day earlier? – Times of India

There’s quite a lot of buzz surrounding ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ which is scheduled to release on March 8. The Luv Ranjan directed romcom, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, is the story of two happy-go-lucky individuals, who like all youngsters, are as confused in love as they are in life.
Now, according to reports, the makers of the much-anticipated film are pondering over preponing the release a day earlier, on Tuesday, March 7. The second day of this year’s Holi is on March 7. However, there are confusions regarding the exact date. In many places, the Holi holiday will be on March 7 and to take advantage of the festive mood, the makers feel releasing the film on March 7 might see maximum footfalls. However, these are nothing but rumours. There hasn’t been any official announcement about it. The final decision will reportedly be taken in a few days.

If ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ eventually releases on March 7, the film will have an extended six-day weekend and this might work well for the box office numbers.
Coming back to the movie, the romantic flick showcases the journey of a boy and girl as they both try to outwit each other at the flirting game. They dance, kiss and make merry; trouble however ensues, when things get serious and their respective families try to get them married off to each other.

As for the quirky title of the movie, a source had earlier revealed to ETimes that the reason for the delay in announcing and registering the title of the movie was because Luv didn’t want to leak the quirky name and lose out on the buzz it would create.
