Speaking about the same in a radio interview, the director stated that the die-hard fans of the original song who are now against the remixed version are right in their own way. According to him, they tried to retain the essence of the original song, right from the singers to the instruments. However, he agreed that sometimes it does backfire. The filmmaker added that ‘Tip Tip Barsa’ is a cult song and with this, it just got revived for the new generation.
In ‘Sooryavanshi’, the song takes place at a deserted amusement park in a flashback sequence. The film, which is an addition to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe’ has been receiving rave reviews from the audience and the critics alike. It also has special cameos by Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Ajay Devgn as Singham.
The film was originally scheduled to release in March 2020. However, the pandemic and the resulting lockdown forced the filmmakers to push the film ahead indefinitely. Now, after the cinema halls across the country, including Maharashtra were opened, the makers released the film in the theatres.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shetty is gearing up for his next, ‘Cirkus’ with Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde.
