Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Full Movie Collection: ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ box office day 1 early estimates: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt starrer has a decent start | – Times of India
According to early estimates, the film recorded a good opening collection of an estimated Rs 11.50 crore. The movie was expected to hit the double-digits, thanks to the advance bookings.
With this, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has recorded the sixth-best opening for a Hindi film this year. Currently, flms like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’,Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar’, Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bholaa’ occupy the top 5 slots.
Besides Pathaan and RARKPK, the other films on this list had an extended holiday release. The Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor starrer film had an opening day figure of Rs 14 crore but that’s because it had released during Holi in March and was a holiday. Hence, the numbers were big.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Movie Review
With an opening day collection of over 10 crores, RARKPK can be expected to see a jump over Saturday and Sunday as there are block bookings for the film and the reviews have been good. Due to positive word of mouth, the film may see a jump in the footfalls and collections. While the numbers recorded so far are good, they aren’t up to the mark for a KJo release. In the coming days, the response to it at mass centres will be a major deciding factor.
However, a decent opening number gives hope that the film will pick in UP, Punjab and the Gujarat areas. The rains could also have been a reason for a lesser opening day figure but the good part is that the film is expected to have a decent two-digit opening figure. As per trade, if the opening day number would be below 10 crore, it would have been a struggle to get a decent weekend.
The way the film holds up at the box office on Saturday and Sunday, will determine its success at the box office in the coming week.
The ‘RARKPK’ release comes just a week after the release of the double Hollywood release – Barbie and Oppenheimer. The English films that hit theatres together last Friday, made a splash at the box office, earning Rs 20 crore and Rs 50 crore respectively.
