‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ box office collection week 1: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer falls short of 50 crore mark | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ witnessed strong growth over the weekend and managed to score a total of Rs 44.50 crore nett.
The film has scored most numbers from Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida markets, with Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai also performing very well. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ witnessed a growth of 30-35 per cent in the mass circuits over the weekend. ThisRanveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer has managed to outperform ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ in major cities. At the overseas box office too, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has scored well, earning around $4 million in all the circuits.
Speaking about the song, composer Anirudhshared, “’Zinda Banda’ holds a special place in my heart as it marks the first track I composed for the film. It’s also my first time composing for Shah Rukh Khan who is synonymous with featuring in iconic songs of our generation and I was determined to do justice to his stardom. Working with such a talented cast and crew was truly amazing, witnessing their dedication and hard work in mounting this song on such a grand scale has been inspiring. It’s been a challenging and a creatively fulfilling journey, creating the album for this film across three languages. I hope that people enjoy the music of ‘Jawan’ as much as I enjoyed creating it.”
Sharing his experience of working with Bollywood veterans Dharmendra, Jaya and Shabana, Ranveer had told PTI, “The kind of stature Dharam ji commands, the kind of aura he has, he is one of our greatest superstars ever. He is very generous as a person. It’s been a privilege… (It is surreal and unreal to have shared screen space with not just him but Jaya Bachchan madam and Shabana Azmi ji as well.”
