25 years ago, Karan Johar made one of the most dramatic entries into Bollywood with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji. Since then there was no looking back for him and in his 25th year, the filmmaker is coming up with his magnum opus Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra.

KJo took to Instagram to announce the opening of advance booking of the film.Sharing a poster of the film Karan wrote, “With butterflies in my stomach and love overflowing for you all – I’m gearing up for a piece of my heart to enthrall you on the big screen! BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW!! #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani – in cinemas this Friday.”
Talking about the film at a press conference, Ranveer Singh had said, “Karan is bringing back that kind of cinema that we have grown up on, that we have loved and that is such a big part of our life. I am sure that (for) a lot of you Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, these are timeless classics that he created and which are such an integral part of our growing up years.

The film marks Karan’s return to the director’s chair after a gap of seven years. He last made Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film releases on 28th July.
