Rockets vs. Nets prediction and odds for Wednesday, March 29 (Keep fading Houston)
Are the Houston Rockets coasting to the end of the 2022-23 season?
Houston has dropped six straight games, losing those matchups by 22, 17, 37, 5, 13 and 10 points. Not great.
Now, the Rockets are on the road on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, who are fighting to hang on to the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference.
To the Nets’ credit, they have stayed afloat despite moving on from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, mainly because of Mikal Bridges’ impressive play.
Should bettors feel comfortable laying the 12.5 points with Brooklyn at home?
Let’s dive into the odds and my best bet for this game:

Rockets vs. Nets prediction and pick
There’s absolutely no way I can trust Houston in this game, especially with how the team has performed on the road this season.
The Rockets are just 6-32 on the road in the 2022-23 campaign, and they’ve gone just 12-24 ATS as road dogs, losing those games by an average margin of 12.9 points per game.
Houston doesn’t defend anyone, allowing 137 points to the New York Knicks on Monday night and 151 points to the Memphis Grizzlies last week.
Even though the Nets lack star power, they are still in the top half of the league in net rating. I’ll roll with them to cover in a must-win on Wednesday night.
