Robbie Savage SLAMS Manchester United keeper David de Gea after Sevilla goal
‘I don’t know what he’s doing’: Robbie Savage SLAMS Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea for bizarrely being lobbed by Loic Bade’s shoulder for Sevilla’s second goal in Europa League quarter-final second-leg tie
Robbie Savage has criticised Manchester United keeper David de Gea for failing to save Sevilla’s second goal in their Europa League quarter final.
The Red Devils are out of the tournament after losing the second leg 3-0 in Seville.
Loic Bade deflected the ball in off the crossbar with his shoulder, but it was travelling slowly and right above De Gea when it went in.
After the goal, Robbie Savage said on BT Sport commentary: ‘Such a terrible start. You look at David de Gea, I don’t know what he’s doing, it’s right above him.
‘I’m not sure he does well enough there. It comes off his shoulder, in off the crossbar, I think the goalkeeper has to do better there.

TV pundit Robbie Savage felt the United goalkeeper ‘had to do better’ with the strike
The goal put United 4-2 down on aggregate, giving them a mountain to climb in Seville.
After being 2-0 up in the first leg at Old Trafford, they scored two own goals late on, and went behind in the opening exchanges on Thursday after another mistake from de Gea allowed Youssef En-Nesyri a straightforward finish.
Even the introduction of star striker Marcus Rashford at half time did not help, as they eventually lost 3-0 on the night after another goal from En-Nesyri.
They will be hoping for an improved performance in their FA Cup semi final against Brighton on Sunday.
