According to a report in Zoom Digital, the accused persuaded her with promises of 28-30 percent profits and forced her to deposit Rs 4.14 crore in a new business endeavour through her film production company. The report added that neither the principle nor the anticipated profits were returned to her. The actress also claimed that the person has stopped communicating with her since then.
The report also further added that the fraud began in 2019 when she met the accused at an Andheri gym. He had convinced her that he was involved in investments through his family’s company.
A police officer said, “When they became friendly, he approached her and offered 28-30 percent returns if she invested in his new business venture. He added that the accused had given the actress a cheque for Rs 3.50 crore as security at the time.
The report stated that between February and July of 2019, the actress deposited a total of Rs 1 crore to his company. He guaranteed her 40 percent profits on her future investments after receiving the funds. Between October 2019 and November 2020, the actress transferred another Rs 3.14 crore.

Khar police filed a FIR on Tuesday, charging the accused with defrauding and criminal breach of trust.
