Rhea Chakraborty languished in jail, now it is Aryan Khan: Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury calls out politics behind Shah Rukh Khan’s son’s arrest – Times of India

In a series of Tweets, he pointed out that the alacrity shown while arresting the star kid, was “conspicuously absent” in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case that involved the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra.

Taking to Twitter, Chowdhury said, “The alacrity of arresting the son of @iamsrk who is allegedly a drug-addicted kid, was conspicuously absent in the case of arresting the son of Mr Ajay Mishra, MoS Home affairs.”

“It is intriguing as the wayward kid of Mr Mishra is alleged to have mowed down by the self-driven car in a savage manner to the innocuous protesting farmers. #LakhimpurKheri,” he added.

Taking note of the drug case that emerged out of the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and resulted in actress Rhea Chakraborty spending a month in jail, he said that Aryan shouldn’t be awarded severe punishment for a “venial offence”.

“A few months back Mrs Riya Chakroborty was detained and languished in jail, now the turn is for Aryan Khan,” he wrote.

“The equality of justice for all is enshrined in the preamble of the Constitution of India. Severe punishment to teenage khan for a venial offence should not be awarded,” he concluded.

His statement comes shortly after NCP leader Nawab Malik alleged political interference in the probe and stated that a total of 11 persons were detained, but “later, that night 3 persons were allowed to go by the NCB officials.”

“This proves that the entire fraudulent raid on the ship was a pre-planned conspiracy to lure and trap high-profile individuals,” Malik said.

Deputy Director-General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Gyaneshwar Singh reacted to claims that the raid was “a pre-planned conspiracy” in a press conference today.

Singh said, “All allegations levelled against NCB are baseless, motivated, afterthought and prejudice. Such statements are based on conjecture and assumptions that are frivolous and malicious in view of documents and records produced by NCB-persons.”

Meanwhile, the latest on the case states that Aryan, through his legal team, applied for bail in the Mumbai Sessions Court a day after he was denied bail by the Magistrate court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
