The 30-year-old is coming off back-to-back all-star seasons where he finished top six in Cy Young voting.

In 2022 with the San Francisco Giants, he threw 178 innings with a 2.88 ERA and 237 strikeouts.

The former third-overall pick spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Chicago White Sox, where he struggled with injury issues and consistency until his breakout in 2021.

In his first all-star season, Rodon threw 132.2 innings for Chicago with a 2.37 ERA, 185 strikeouts and threw a no-hitter in April.

The White Sox chose not to offer the lefty a qualifying offer as he suffered from shoulder fatigue down the stretch, resulting in Rodon leaving for the Giants in free agency, signing a two-year $44 million contract with an opt-out after the first year if he reached 110 innings.

Rodon opted out of that deal and cashed in as a result. His deal includes a full no-trade clause.

He will now join a Yankees rotation that already includes Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, Luis Severino and Frankie Montas.

New York continues its strong off-season after re-signing MVP Aaron Judge and will look to improve upon its sweep in the ALCS.
