Report: Wild cancel practice in Seattle amid growing COVID-19 issue

The Minnesota Wild cancelled practice Wednesday in Seattle as the team is reportedly facing a growing COVID-19 issue, according to Mike Russo of The Athletic.

Minnesota defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on the road Tuesday night and are scheduled to face the Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Thursday.

Russo earlier reported assistant coach Darby Hendrickson, goalie coach Frédéric Chabot and video coach T.J. Jindra were placed in COVID protocol and did not join the team for the west coast trip.

General manager Bill Guerin was also in COVID protocol recently, however, he was expected to rejoin the club in Seattle.
