Renuka Shahane opens up on Circus co-star Shah Rukh Khan, reveals she was ‘taken aback by his confidence’ – Times of India

Recently, the 56-year-old, in an interaction with Pinkvilla revealed her first impression of Shah Rukh Khan and how he was a typical ‘Delhi’ boy. She said, “He was a Delhi boy, very brash. I was pretty new at that time and I was taken aback by his confidence.”

Known as the king of wit, Shah Rukh displayed this aspect of his personality back then as well. She added, “He is witty, very intelligent. That was very good. He is a great co-actor. Because he comes from theatre, he improvises the scenes, and gets the tone right, that was always a part of how he worked. He is so professional. You ask him to work for 36 hours at a stretch, he would do it without complaining about it.”

Shah Rukh, who is currently basking in the humongous success of Pathaan, recently engaged in a fun banter with Renuka, whose husband Ashutosh Rana has a key role in the movie too. Renuka had tweeted that she and Ashutosh were on their way to watch Pathaan, when SRK replied on her post saying, “Col Luthraji ko bataya aapne ki aap meri pehli heroine hain. Or should we keep it a Top Secret otherwise he may fire me from the agency!!!”

To this, Renuka quickly replied, “Hahaha unsey koi baat chhupti kahaan hai? Aaphi ne unhe antaryaami kaha hai. Aur chaahey jo ho jaaye, woh aapko fire nahi kar saktey kyunki jo kaam aap kartey hain woah koi aur nahi kar saktaa.“
